The Society of Dental Medicine is the scientific and professional association of dentists in Belgium. Its statutes state that its main aim is to contribute to the progress of odonto-stomatological science and the development of dental medicine, in particular by:
encouraging teaching and research
the organisation of all scientific activities
collaboration in the information and education of the public
professional defence
contacts with the official authorities
